Summary:
As a HVAC/R Project Manager for the Service Department, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of MMS Daily Operations. From quoting and purchasing jobs to managing installation timelines, your responsibilities will ensure the efficient completion of Service Department projects. You will also be involved in organizing the dispatching of service technicians to open work orders in a timely and planned fashion.


Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead an installation crew within the Service Department for small jobs and projects.
  • Award all scopes of work in a timely manner, ensuring all-inclusive details, including permits, taxes, and insurance requirements.
  • Draft comprehensive subcontracts, including Statements of Work, payment terms, safety procedures, and training for service technicians and customers.
  • Coordinate the preparation of submittals and Certificates of Insurance (COI).
  • Planning a project from coordination & job meetings to ordering materials & tracking lead times.
  • Provide field crews and technicians with installation instructions and materials.
  • Order required materials and hardware for installations and/or repairs.
  • Procure materials and track lead times.
  • Maintain constant communication and follow-up with customers, vendors, office personnel, and subcontractors.
  • Analyze Cost and Profit Reports.
  • Support office staff with generating work orders, dispatching, etc.

Qualifications:

  • College degree and/or a minimum of five years of field supervisory experience are required.
  • S1 or S2 license preferred.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills.
  • Experience in HVAC/Refrigeration for commercial and residential applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft/Android computer systems and all Apple products.
  • Experience with estimating software and load calculation software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Valid CT Diver’s License.
